Full Shortcode & Widget Support

Transform your Magento WordPress integrated blog with this add-on module and add support for 100's of WordPress plugins that use shortcodes and widgets to create their functionality. It even supports any custom shortcodes and widgets that you create in your own plugins.

There isn't a full list of supported plugins as there are far too many to list but if you're unsure whether a plugin that you need is supported then get in touch and if it doesn't, we'll do our best to add support for you.

  • Shortcodes

A massive amount of WordPress plugins use shortcodes to create their functionality. Page builders, sliders and form builders all use shortcodes and are all supported via this module as are all other plugins that use shortcodes.

  • Widgets

This module adds support for all WordPress widgets. Simply install the module and any widget will work, whether it's a widget from a popular plugin or one you have added yourself.

Supported Plugins

Shortcodes & Widgets adds support for any WordPress plugin that uses shortcodes but here's a list of a few popular plugins that have been tested and verified to work.

WPBakery Page Builder (Frontend Editor and Backend Editor), Elementor, Divi Page Builder, Site Origin Page Builder, Cornerstone Page Builder, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Slider Revolution, Meta Slider, NextGEN Gallery, TablePress, RumbleTalk Chat, Formidable Forms.

These are just a few plugins that this module supports. Remember, any plugin that uses shortcodes will be supported if you use the Shortcodes & Widgets add-on module.

Page Builders

If you want to transform your basic blog into a premium designed blog then you need to use a Page Builder plugin. Page Builders allow you to design your content using a drag and drop system and without needing to touch any code.

WP Bakery, Elementor, Divi, Site Origin and Cornerstone are just some of the page builders that have all been tested and are supported by this module.

Combine a Page Builder with Root and you can now use a WordPress Page Builder to create your Magento CMS pages.

  • RSS Feeds

This module allows you to use the native WordPress RSS feeds in any format.

  • AMP

With this module installed, you can use the Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin in WordPress to add AMP support to your blog.

  • Events

Use the Events Calendar plugin (free, Pro and even add-ons) to manage events fully in your integrated blog.

FAQ
  1. What plugins does this support?

There are more than 60,000 free plugins available for WordPress, as well as all of the paid plugins, so testing every plugin is not possible. Fortunately though, the FishPig Shortcodes module works in a way that doesn't require specific plugin support in around 90% of cases. This means that out of the box, most plugins will work with the Shortcodes module installed.

This being said, here's a few popular plugins tht have been tested and work very well:

    Page Builders

Elementor, Elementor Pro, WPBakery Page Builder, Divi, Beaver Builder.

    Form Plugins

Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Contact Form 7, WP Forms, Formidable Forms

    Other/Misc

Slider Revolution, Web Stories, Events Calendar

The actual list of plugins supported would be around 50,000 lines long, so if there's a plugin you want to use, give it a try and if you spot any issues, you can always get in touch.

  2. What is an add-on module?

A WordPress Integration add-on module is a module that only works if you first install our free Magento 2 WordPress Integration module to integrate WordPress into Magento 2. The add-on module provides extra functionality to the core integration module.

  3. How do I download an extension?

All FishPig extensions can be downloaded as ZIP files or installed/upgraded automatically using Composer and our private Composer repository.

  4. Do FishPig modules support the Hyva theme?

Yes, all FishPig modules are compatible with the Hyva theme for Magento 2.
